It's been done; PRIME-LOC - FUEL FILTER RELOCATION KIT ('94-'96 DODGE)-Dodge Cummins and Ford Power Stroke Diesel Truck Accessories - Geno's Garage
I like DIY'ers, and do a lot of my own mods. I would use rubber lines myself. Less chance of breaking from vibration.

What Racer said - get some good quality Marine rated diesel hose, put a filter down by the tank and your done.

FYI, Vulcan performance sells the line. (3/8" supply and 5/16" return, OR you could do a 1/2" big line kit - whcih Vulcan Performance also sells).

You could look at a Racor type fuel filter - http://www.go2marine.com/category.do?no=13766&mfrno=316

thanks for the help guys im going to keep it in the engine compartment for show purposes, i was thinking about getting some blue fuel line, cut the bajo fitting off then splice in the hose were the pipe was and mount it on the reont of he head instead of the rear

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

one question if i were to use the rubber stuff from the lift pump to the filter housing would the line be able to stand the pressure? aslo what is the max pressure from pump to housing?

The blue hose is good for 300 psi I believe....

The kit from Vlucan is more than just hose - its a big line fuel kit just like those available for the 24V's...it includes everything you need and I believe it included bigger fittings for better flow.

12V Fuel System Upgrade

I am not certain if it includes the supply/return lines all the way from the tank.

im not exacly looking to improve the flow as much as i am versitility by accresing the filter easyer and show purposes this engine pops right now im just trying to make it stand out even more. i will buy some of the blue 1/2" for the supply line and then the 5/16" for the return line, im drawing up a braket to be able to mount it to my intake elbow

The fuel pressure is under 40psi. Stainless braided would look way cool!
