stock EGTs

I've got a 97 12 valve manual, and I just got my gauges in. Does 800 max sound right for the stock EGT's? It Idles about 300. Thanks for the advice on gauge installing, it was cake.

i am gonna go ahead and ask cuz if i do not some one else will.
Are you Before turbo or after?
Do you have straight pipe or exhaust?

just went back and read previous thread you you went pre turbo.
