no you put the 9/12 socket on the 12pt bolts behind the hub and beat on them to get the hub off then i put the axle shaft in my vise and took a cresent wrench to the spindal nut

Get the lockout kit from ems it was easy to put on and bearings wont be $250.00 plus.

that is the way I normally do them ,but i was down to my last socket(broke 3) and they were not movin even a little bit,so I cut them apart but I was changing everything anyways,my truck had seen alot of salt from the winters up here in Atlantic Canada You wouldn't believe the rust on my truck compared to the southern trucks

i checked out that lock out kit....and wow...i didnt expect it to be that much.....1300 bones...yea well....guess thats what you pay for simplicity

update...if anyones still checkin...got the u joints in...now i need new calipers...damn things were hangin up when we put them back on...but at least the rotors hub bearing packs pads and studs are new and cruisin

the knuckles and spindles from a 94-95 F-350 will bolt on to the tubes and bam you have regular tapered seat bearings AND locking hubs, I found a 94 f-350 4x4 with a tied up 460 and bought i for parts for $500 and as soon as it warms up I am going to do the swap

Just found I have a bad driver side wheel bearing. Looks like I will be going through this shortly too.
