Default 12 valve mechanical lift pump pressure

Hey looking for info I have a totally stock 1994 12 valve . I just installed a fuel psi gauge and adjustable bypass valve what is the normal fuel pressure under load.??? My 12 valve will run out at 30 lbs, and with a very slight increase in throttle under load the fuel pressure drops off to 15 lbs. What should I expect for psi under load ???

If you can search for TSB 14-07-96 for 1994-1996 Ram Truck, It gives all the information you seek. The basic specifications are 17-22 psi at idle and 25-35 at 2500 rpm (no load). I recently determined that I had low fuel pressure. 4 psi at idle. I determined that my overflow valve needed replacement. Now at idle I am running 24 psi .

Thanks for the reply Chucks. That new fuel pump I installed failed within 4028 miles and I thank God we made it back to our shop. The seller sent me the Cummins OEM Carter / China replacement for the Carter / USA. I can not comprehend how the Carter China pump is better than the Carter USA ???
