No. Quality, precision gauges that will stand up to abuse and remain accurate over time are quality, precision gauges that will stand up to abuse and remain accurate over time. Crappy, shoddily built gauges that will fall apart at the slightest provocation and often weren't remotely accurate to begin with (making them pointless to have) are crappy, shoddily built gauges that will fall apart at the slightest provocation and often weren't remotely accurate to begin with.

It's like needing a truck to pull your ten ton boat around, and backing a Honda Civic up to that trailer saying "vehicles are vehicles".

The abuse is the fact that they're taken out of the box and installed in a vehicle.

When I first began to mod my rig, I bought glowshhift gauges thinking I got a good deal. A couple of years later my EGT gauge wouldnt register temps anymore, and my boost gauge suddenly read extremely high, over 50 psi. I have very conservative mods so 50psi is waaaaay out of whack. Got ISSPRO gauges to replace the glowshift, and love them. SHoulda done that in the first place.
