Glowshift gauge problem

Just installed the glowshift trans, pyro, and boost. I bought the wiring kit to just wire the 4 main wires together. I did everything by the book. The trans and pyro work great (trans takes a couple miles to read but whatever). My question is about the boost. I have a hx35 with plugged wastegate. It reads 21 at full throttle running 80. That seems a little low to me but that is why I'm asking. The bigger issue is the fact that the other two work great. They are bright and I can change the colors. But the boost is dimmer than the other two, is only red, and the button won't even move to change the colors. I haven't even peeled the sticker off the face of the gauges yet. Any help??

Adjust the waste gate and see if it reads better ...

Also .. where did you install for boost reference .. I installed mine in the plug between #2/#3 cyl ... in the intake ..

I see 26 Psi .... :humm:

Adjust? It's plugged. And yes I put it in the same spot

Oh and this is my first boost gauge along with my first cummins. While running 65 it's only showing 4-5 lbs

You won't see a heck of a lot more boost then 26 unless you have more fuel. What's your plate and afc set at? My buddy before his new turbo was hitting 35 max on his hx with a banks plate full forward, 50 sticks, afc housing full forward and some tuning with the gate plugged and a 4000 gov spring. Boost is fuel relative, aswell as timing and load.

sounds about normal

glowshift gauges are very sensitive to electrical changes and deviations. sounds like the boost gauge has the switched power mixed up with the constant power wire (being only red and dimmer).

trans temp takes a few miles to read because the temp is probably below 100 degrees

you wont see more boost pressure unless you adjust your wategate .. but if you havent gotten studs installed .. be careful .. as you could have a HG issue if you go romping on it .. especially when the enigine is cold or not fully warmed up .. :tu:
