TCS input WTF?

TCS input WTF?
so i finally got all the parts rounded up to put this transmission back together. went to drop the pump on and it wouldnt go down. stuck like chuck. finally get it all ripped back out of the tranny and find that the input is wedging on the stator bushing. after measuring 2 stock inputs i have under the bench, i find the the new billet is .004 fatter at the bushing area. the stockers slide right in no problem. the TCS no matter how nice or violent i am with it doesnt like the .004 difference.
first has anyone had this problem and second do they make a thinner stator bushing that addresses this problem?

tcs spec is 1.423
and what i got was a 1.426
