my guage takes a few seconds too, i think the reason it drops because of how thin your oil is starting out at, imagine when the engine is running 190* that stuff will be like water

I uses S.S. fittings, but you could use brass as it is about half the cost.

P/N's:

SS-400-1-2: SS-400-1-2 - SS Swagelok Tube Fitting, Male Connector, 1/4 in. Tube OD x 1/8 in. Male NPT

SS-4P4T: SS-4P4T - SS Quarter-Turn Instrument Plug Valve, 1/4 in. Swagelok Tube Fitting, 1.6 Cv

SS-4BHT: SS-4BHT-120 - PTFE-Lined, SS Braided Hose Assembly, 1/4 in. SS Swagelok Tube Adapters, 120 in. (3.0 m) Length - will have to figure out how much line you will need (in inches)

SS-400-7-2: SS-400-7-2 - SS Swagelok Tube Fitting, Female Connector, 1/4 in. Tube OD x 1/8 in. Female NPT

You will need another adapter - Justin, PM me if you are going to use this setup and we can discuss.

is that your FP line on top of the filter housing Evil? What's with the gauge under the hood - a tester? would that get damaged?

X2

Also wondering why you have a Fp gauge on a 12 valve. I guess it would be good for trouble shooting.

No. The FP guage is not currently connected. Its plumbed with 1/8" Parker poly line with a working pressure of 250 psi, but since its poly I dont trust it when its minus 40 -still havent reconnected it after winter. Its normally plumbed into the inlet banjo on the P-7100.

The guage under the hood is oil pressure and its installed on the secondary port on the oil filter housing. Its been there awhile now and seems ok but it does hammer pretty good - eventually the Bourdon tube inside will stretch or possibly fail but I will either change the gauge or take it off altogether (that is a 160 psi guage BTW). Theres no good reason that I installed the guage under the hood other than I have a bunch of extra guages and fittings in my tickle trunk . The oil runs into the cab through the 1/4" braided S.S. line which is good for a few thousand psi.
