Yes that is at the filter....

I know the sender is toast. I just wasnt thinking that the oil pressure would vary that much. It doesnt get that much under 30 psi but will with the 0W40 and warm ambient temps. Thanks j-eh.

Does your oil pressure come up really fast right after you start it or does it take a second for the pressure to come up on your gauge? On my factory gauge it takes a second before the gauge moves up after I start it.

Hey Justin,

The pressure on the mechanical guage come up real fast after the engine turns over. Of course, the factory one takes a bit to build pressure especially with the temps I see in the winter.

I hear that on the cold temps, where did you end up getting all your oil pressure gauge setup at? I've been interested in doing this to my truck just never persued it.

Jusin, most of the stuff I found at work. I used S.S. Swagelok fittings, 1/4" S.S. braided line and a regular old oil pressure guage. Of you want to use the Swagelok stuff I can definitely get you all the part numbers. Bought the guage at a local wholesale place. Its just a Sunpro guage but when I opened the package, it said that was a Snap-on product.

Alternately, you can get everything you need from a local speedshop, Summit or Jegs.

Good info Shane thanks, I am interested in doing this so if you don't mind digging up some parts # for those fitting that would be great. I need to do some digging around and see if they make an oil psi gauge in the autometer ultra lite series.

Justin - I have not forgotten about this - crazy busy at the moment. I will snap you a couple of pics and find some Swagelok p/n's for you.

So my factory gauge takes a few seconds to show pressure. Are you saying it makes pressure when I hit the key and the gauge is just playing catch up?
