Would that be something that the tranny would have to be dropped to work on? Or is it something I could get to whiles it still in the truck?

 

You can pull the overdrive without pulling the transmission, but I don't really recommend it. If it is burned up, I'd recommend tearing it all the way down and building it right. There are just too many mods that can be (should be) made during a build...
