Default Need some help. Transmission

Okay I took my 1996 dodge cummins to a nameless shop at this point to have a little PM done to it. they did a tranny flush and adjusted my bands, In my mind I thought okay great Iv heard that adjusting the bands is a good thing to do to prolong the life of the transmission?
Any way I get my truck back and it seemed okay but I could tell something was not right. it shifts funny, I let go a couple days then I stopped back by the shop and told them what I feeling and they took for a drive and came back and said ya that okay its you can just feel it shifting after the band adjustment then he checked the fluid and it was over full so he sucked a bit out and said with it being over full it can act funny. "It felt okay in lower gears but once I hit overdrive there is no kick down if need" So he did all that and I thought okay great I was on my way well no I was back again at the shop on Friday... They checked fluid again now it was so low it was not even touching the dipstick, added fluid sitting good. but now my Tranny feels really bad. shifts like **** and it feels like its surching for a gear from take off. like im starting out in second or 3red, now they say it feels like a valve body and I may need a new one? its stressing me out I take my truck in it feels just fine and I get it back and I am scared to drive it due to tranny going out on me. need some info on Trannys I dont know much about them. I am going back today to see the owner of the shop and figure this out. Thanks for any info

Mine was doing the same thing, right after I got mine adjusted. Mine was adjusted by a shop that knows Dodge diesel transmissions. It ended up being the governor pressure solenoid. Got the " GM upgrade" and had no problems after that. I agree though, if they broke they should fix it. But if you have to upgrade it that's on you.

But they should cover labor at that point.

So when i tell you what it was you cant jump up and laugh well yes you can ha ha... The tech who worked on it did not hook the I guess its call Kickdown spring its on the left hand side on the outside of the transmission, Truck runs like a champ now! feel it hit every gear has good hard pull, Crazy to me to think it was something so small that could make such a big deal. They fixed it. Shop was Dunks performance in Springfield Oregon. The owner stepped up and said we will do whatever needs to be done to get it right. I will go back. Thanks again for the support!

yeah, that would do it for sure ..... that is a pressure control line basically , it gives the trans the amount of throttle that is being asked of the engine and hence makes pressure adjustments based on that input ...
