Default Need Help Trans Issues

I have a 95' 12v cummins 2wd auto. My transmission just started acting up 2 weeks ago i just had my trans serviced last month. it shifts smoothly when the OD is off but when i put it in OD it drives fine and my rpms jump up for a few secs then shifts but after cruising at 65 for 20 mins it will down shift and slow me down to 55 and my rpms will jump pass 2500 then it will go back to over drive then do it again after a bit I have no idea what it is my kick down cable is all the way out. I have only had the truck for 3 months so im new to this Diesel World

If your TV cable is all the way out then it isn't where it belongs. Calling it a kickdown cable- though that can be one of it's functions- is an over simplification and while loosening it all the way up may logically mean earlier shifts (less likely to downshift on the highway) it isn't supposed to be that far out. Having it out of adjustment can make the trans do some very strange things. I'd start by putting it where it belongs, which is just short of tight. Then check your fluid level, low trans fluid can cause it to over-rev on the up shift like that. Also check your TPS, as many shift issues can be caused by it being dirty or out of calibration.

There is a cable (transmission ground cable I think?) that if it gets near the alternator it can do this because it creates an electromagnetic interference, so what I heard to do was wrap it in aluminum foil and put electrical tape over it then it should solve this problem!

well i found a solution on another site so i tried it and it fixed the problem i spliced the brown wire and hooked it to a toggle switch with a ground wire so when i flip the switch it grounds out 3-4 gear silnoid and it seems to give my truck a crap load more power when it hits 4th the truck just jumps sideways on me and in overdrive i can actually cruise at 65 without the trans jumping back and forth in 4th and od
