There aren't any problems to install a bigger intercooler. I've also done it with mine Passat TDI. But if this is done you have to change the software for the turboboost, couse the compressed air is measured. So if the air is cooler the software will lower the boost and you won't notice any better acceleration.

What for a engine do you want to buy? One with unit unjection (Pumpe- Düse) or the older distributor pump system?

Um, Deezel Stinker...I think the OP was asking about programmers, intakes, exhaust, injectors and turbos...which are all TDI specific power mods. To me, it seems like you were taken back back by someone questioning your off topic reply. Uh...

Cant you get a huge amount of power out of a chip mod alone?

No. The TDI block can't handle more than 22 pounds of boost. It will split at 25. If you understand that this increase is still pretty good for a 1.9L block then you are doing ok. You won't get 400 HP out of it so don't bother trying.

LOL your crazy son. My TDI in my sig holds 25psi ALL day long, and before I got the VNT tuned it was holding 30psi. No split blocks yet. YES, you can get 400hp out of one. Though it's tougher, as we ALL know, hp means dick. It's all in the torque. 300hp and 500lbs of tq is feasible with a giant 22hybrid, no doubt. But it will take some reinforcements and work.

You can do anything to a TDI as you can a big cummins, except one you will be nailing 60mpg all day long and the other 26

I'll trade my sig'd TDI for a cummins or powerstroke. I suppose I could sell it outright, but it would be easier to trade.
