Default injector pump i think?

i have a 1993 jetta golf its hard to start, smokes blue when running its not dsuckin air runs rough i'm assuming its injector pump how do i change the pump how do i keep my timeing mars on it

How hard would it be to transplant a newer TDI motor/tranny into a 2003 2Dr Golf?

The engine transplant probably won't be the problem.
Handling the electronics will be the fun part.

Im thinking about buying a 2006 Jetta TDI with 61xxx miles, is there anything i should look out for that might be a problem later down the road, and also what can you tell me about the DSG trans.

I read to avoid the DSG tranny. I have the 5 spd manual in an 06' TDI Jetta with 63k and I love it. Bought it at 42k miles and haven't had a single problem.

expensive to maintain and not super durable. if your just going to stay stock and can handle a expensive repair bill once in a while i would get it because there smooth shifting and pretty fast but nothing beats the longetivty of a manual and there toughness

Havent had a problem yet with ours... I know VW had broblems with them comming apart but really have not seen to many... Im hard on ours and its chipped. It seemed to be shifting really hard for a while but did a service reset and took for a hwy drive and all is goo dnow
