we got the FDS78 all torn down and marked ready to cut tonight after i took those pics, i will have pics of the cut/weld tomorrow night, then the steel for the chassis will be here friday

we dont have a class around here like that. i have seen a few expo runs though. it sure looks like fun and very pricey

got the front axle finished last night....

finished wheel mounting surface width is 70", 15" was removed from the long tube and a second short side shaft installed

6.20s in the axles and 2.1:1 in the drop box , and 1:1 in the reverser = 13.02 final drive and the tires are 34x18.00-15

holly crap that thing is geared low. with that kind of gearing what do you pull in high OD? LOL

its not as low as you think as far as final drives go. the reverser is 1:1 so that would be the same as 4th then the tcase is higher geared (2:1 vs 2.72:1) then the axles are lower geared

So far I have gotten my mud tires,
Ranchhand bumper for 200 bucks HELL YEA!! ;p

What I want to do
Head ache rack
Off Road lights
Leaviling kit and replacing the track bar with an adjustable one not going to follow my friends mistakes and have to pull my seat covers outta my A$$.
Edge Max Milage and get a hidaway hitch
and new intake and injectors 40 horse.
and 4 in straight pipe.
Cab Lights
New head lights

and pray to god next season an elk is riding back there
Them when Im done and have more money build my FUMMINS.
