Classes Usually Go work stock, 2.6, 2.8, 3.0, 3.2 Twin, and Modified.
Work Stock-Stock "appearing" Turbo,
2.6-2.6" Single Charger, sometimes called the street class
2.8-2.8" Single Charger, Usually Stock driveline(no drop boxes or Rockwell axles)
3.0-3.0" Single Charger, Depending on region can be Unlimited Driveline
"Prostock/Prostreet"- Usually Unlimited Single or 3.0 or 3.2 Twin Turbo
3.2 Twin-3.2" Twin Turbo, Similar To Prostock
Modified- Cut tires Unlimited Chargers, Unlimited Driveline, Mega HP

Your best bet would be Workstock or 2.6". Not sure of your competition down there, but a typical 2.6" truck up here usually has $10,000-$15,000+ in Mods. However if competition is scarce, you should be competitive with a 14mm Injection Pump head, A set of Injectors and a good turbo along with Tranny mods and Intake/Exhaust. This should put you 350-400 Hp. A set of Injectors from a non-intercooled cummins should support this HP level.

i originally had a good set of rules for those trucks but they screwed them away when Greene's took it over because i was too strict with the rules they said, i run a tight ship and keep it that way and had everything fair, they got 2 classes, stock turbo, then everything else.....and by stock turbo they mean bone stock, not a stock cummins turbo off a 6.7 on a 1st gen, the turbo has to match the make and model of the truck.....yes, i know it sucks.....and if you step up to the big class your gonna get it handed to you with a 1st gen unless your willing to drop some cash, big turbo, 4000 GSK, big sticks, built tranny and other stuff.......so until i or someone else can buy a sled and start putting on pulls your pretty much stuck using keiths junk rules, so i would just recommend going out and having fun and not worrying about winning cause as long as there is a stock turbo dmax in that class you wont win unless he breaks or dosent show......

by the way, do i sound a little angry???

they are measured off the intake (cold side) inducer (the area right around where the intake wheel is at), your typical classes for measured turbo's are 2.5 (class is getting smaller cause no off the shelf 2.5 turbo exists), 2.6in/66mm (took over the 2.5 class cause they are easily bought off the shelf, i wrote that rule back in late 07 cause of that reason and other people started to catch on after that), 2.8 (K31 Borg-Warner, ATS Aurora 5000 sized turbos), 3.0 (HT60 and that type, usually from Semi trucks and equipment).......about everybody and their brother now offers a 2.6 legal turbo of some sort.......Though you can buy off the shelf Borg-Warner units that will work good on most trucks, like an S366....its a S300 frame with a 66mm inducer bore, most guys are going to run a S400 frame turbo (S465 is the hot ticket right now) to be at the top of the class and most likely that turbo will have a custom wheel in it with a ported housing and all the rest of the aftermarket stuff, the flange size is something you also need to take into consideration, you can have a T3 or T4 flange (sometimes you have a T6 on a S400 but its very uncommon), a T3 is what a factory dodge manifold is, a T4 is about an inch bigger in all directions, you can either use an adapter plate (50$ from most machine shops) or you can buy a aftermarket exhaust manifold from a few companies with the bigger T4 flange, they are also available in the T3 flange.....if you want to win, get a custom S400 built for about 1800 bucks and up, some turbos can run upwards of 5K, if you want to have fun, get a brand new "stock" S366 or S464 for about 900 bucks and go have fun......
