Default Turbo questions.

ok. So. I am looking into some turbos. I have found a tubo that has some mild build to it. though it is off a 03 7.3. Mine is a 99 7.3.
Will the 03 turbo fit my 99 turbo.

Ok. What are the differences that make it not work. I understand the 03 turbo is bigger. This would make me think the internals are bigger. being bigger ( taller ) it would hit the cowl then.

Its not bigger, they are all the same size. The pedistals and the way they mount are different

ok. So I spent time at the dealer. On 03 models. they had two different turbos. So if you have a e99 with ebpv. an 03 turbo with ebpv will fit. without changing pedistals. I am going to work it threw and see how it goes.

Thanks for the help

I have never heard that. 03 had 2 turbos because they had 2 different engines. Anything 99.5+ will not for on an early 99. They have 2 completely different mounts and all 7.3s came with an EBPV

It is possible that the turbo i am looking at is off a 99 7.3.

THe dealer did tell me that they will fit. If your 99 has a ebpv and the 03 has a ebpv they will swap.

Only if its a late model 99. The early model 99s turbos mount differently.
