Default Turbo brake problem???

I have a 2008 2500 with the 6.7 with 58,000 miles.
I run the turbo brake all the time in the city and highway.
Yesterday I was went on a trip to the store turned on the turbo brake as usual pulled away from the house, and the exhaust sounded loud and the turbo was spooling up,it did it at every stop sign and it seemed like it was bogging down then takes off this happened the whole drive which was about 6 miles.
I got to the gas station shut it off when I got back in the truck it was fine ran great!
This morning I started it again turned on the turbo brake it did the same thing but didn't bogg so I ran it with out the turbo brake and it runs fine any ideas to what might be wrong?

This is an old thread, but I am having the same problem. I was exiting the highway with turbo break on, no load, and turbo break worked normally. When I went to excelerate, the truck was bogging down like the turbo break was not releasing. I had to turn the TB off and give it a second for it to release. I normally drive with the TB on because I drive a short distance to work (about 10 miles).

Any help??

Could be seizing up, get it checked out and if it is we have a couple different ways you can go.

Screamer Turbo.
