Got a question.
They make us pull our outer wheels off around here to pull in the stock pickup classes at our fairgrounds. I personally think its bull, but they all say that a dually has more traction which anyone who has ever driven one in the mud or snow knows that is false. Especially when they allow any tire size on the 3/4 ton trucks
. Have any of you had the same problem? Is there a way around it, and do any of the old 16in single rims for a wide tire fit on a 2004.5 17inch lug pattern on a Dodge? I am sick and tired of people askin why I don't pull, even if I have to pull the outside tire off. I would pull if they had a dually class or what not.

i know what you mean in mud and snow. my dodge is 3/4 ton but i use to drive a 1 ton dual wheel..
but your not pulling on mud or snow.... so thats their argument.
8 lug should work. just make sure you have the same outside diameter
the wheel size doesn't matter so much as the tire size.

Thats what I don't understand, I mean the only thing that a dually would have over em is stability... But when that much weight is added to it, it still comes down to horsepower and torque. Sure, a little traction helps but when you can run any size tire on a single rear wheel, it's bullsh*t. They were even talkin about havin an all dually class this past year and didn't "because there wasn't enough interest". I wish I had the money to put big rig singles on the back and pull with mine but...... that's not an option at the moment. I will just sit back and laugh at how they do it in my area....:pc:
