Trailer axles
#11
hmm... I guess I just need to do some looking around.
This has been very helpful everyone, I needed a little real world experience here. unfortunately the only trailer place remotely local to me I *hate* to deal with due to their markup.. I mean, they had a GN ball I needed in stock for $250 but I ordered it from an RV place for $95 and waited a week, same thing for trailer fenders, I would hate to see their cost for an axle
looks like theres some deals on 7000-7500 axles for around 400
on the other hand I could buy and strip 5200lb ones from utility trailers.. there plentiful in this area.
more MH axles go for $75 ea. but I would rather try n do it right.
have some thinking to do on it I guess.

Check out this axle tech from Bill Vista on Pirate4x4. He may have some answers as to how you can repair or rebuild your existing axles. Lots of part numbers.
