That C channel neck would twist up in a heart beat with that one long main beam. I use that stuff for bumpers but not the neck. If they wouldn't have put the axles so far back or made the neck out of shorter angled pieces it wouldn't be such a problem.

Personally I won't use anything for the neck except Box tubing or I beam. I don't even like the H beam that most builders use.

Really? Most the goosenecks around here use C channel... hmm... Ill have to look into that...

Just put the word out your lookin, they're everywhere. Tucked away in fields and yards in every corner of the country. When steel prices were so high I was buyin these old things to to pull apart to build new ones out of. Even with the extra labor and time it was still way cheaper to strip these down then to buy new.

yep... Most can be picked up for a song if you want to put in the work.

trust me i've looked..

pretty sure everything around here got scrapped, or people will hold onto it until it rusts and turns back to dirt :/
