Another factor to take into consideration on this topic seems to also be experience level. A trailer that large is not like drivin the family Cadillac. Even without the jacked up truck it takes some trailering experiance to safely pull something like that. It's easy to get on the road and take off, feelin like everything is just fine and under control. The problem happens when the unexpected ocurrs. How do you react to it, that takes time to develop even in an ideal situation. So these folks doing these kinds of things are doing nothing more then a drunk or tired driver is doing. They are putting lives in the hands of fate and good luck.

Tell the parents they need a 3500 for that trailer and just to give you the 2500 for your birthday.

Hell, I have bought this truck I drive now and every bomb done to it myself, my old truck (1st gen) was my dads, but when he gave it to me to drive, the 3rd gen CTDs were already rolling around.

Cant hate 100% on kids whos parents buy them stuff, though all I have to say is just wait till real life kicks you in the rear.
