I have run a Kelderman 4 link system for the last two years. It has its pros and cons. If you are looking to smooth out the ride this is not for you. Or at least it didnt do it for me. Yes it did lift the truck but it has a hole host of other problems that go along with it to look at.

1) The rear 4 link system pushes and pulls the axel a total of 4" to either side of the body. When you lift it pulls the axel to the left 2" so the tire is outside the fender. And the same when you lower it shifts the axel to the right 2" outside the fender.
I found I used to replace U-Joints more often.

2) Depending on how much air you have in the bag body sway is alot more noticable.

3) Very fussy system on air pressure 2Lb can make a huge difference. And Low air pressure you will find yourself bouncing all over the cab and holding on for dear life.

4) I found it very hard to keep air in the system over a 8 Hr day had to refill often. Ended up burning out a $300 compressor.

There are still many other things that I dident mention. Overfueled

i'm interested in airride but i didn't want to add a big lift to the front-end...

i "guess" if you add airride and want to keep the front height original, you can only add it to the rear alxe.....don't know much about air ride for pickups....
i'll call kelderman....
Kelderman has an air ride kit for the dodges that replaces the springs on both ends and can still maintain factory ride height.

most of the airbag kits that don't replace the springs just help with the loaded ride, you cannot make the springs softer by just adding airbags.

Looks like this thread is old news....nothing like digging through the old stuff.
I think I'd go with the 2 bag system from Kelderman, looks like the best to smooth out the rear end ride, not sure about the spring replacement thingy they sell for the front, might be good, but it might let the front end bounce like a ****'

we installed air ride kits at the shop i used to work at. you know, for the mini truckers that like to 'tuck' the wheels and lay frame. it was an ok ride. swayed a bit. but im sure on amore beefy, heavy diesel truck it would be nice. just make sure you dont burst the bag, b/c u said that you wanted to replace the leafs, so that wont be good at all
