ya put it on a toggle switch instead of wiring it to the ECM, so you can control when you want it on or off

I thought about that, but was not sure it would work.
I was actually affraid of messing something up, not knowing exactly how the ECM worked with the Auto tranny...

i put a 24v brake on my 12v totaly eliminated the ecm control wires. i bought a selinoid from pacbrake which is just an on off 12volt switch. took the thum control out of my eaton fuller shift **** and installed a mini 12v toggle switch and went from there on-off-on-off

Sounds like a plan, I wouldn't mind getting rid of the ECM, as long as it still works. Seems like it would actually be easier that way...

I did mine this way put the switch on the shifter. It is nice to have it when you want it.

Yeah, having it when you want it means a lot, i need it almost as much at the lower speeds as I do when at speed, when you have a load that gross's 43K pushing you down hill, even at 5mph it can get away from you and heat the brakes in a hurry....
