BFGs would most likely last longer, but Mud grapplers would do better in the thick stuff. Style factor I vote the Nittos.

BFGS will last longer but on wet roads they are completely worthless. they fair well offroad.

the nittos are better all around. I cant vouge for wear but I havent ever heard anyone complain.
I vote nitto because of the extra plys

Toyo all the way. After these Toyo tires I won't go back to any other brand. These Toyo M55's I'm runnin are a little more expensive then most tires but they are a commercial rated tire and are wearing much better then anything I have run before. This is a farm truck and although they don't look like a mud tire they get around in it better then any mud tire I have run except the the Truxxus Radial. But I only got 15,000 out of them and they were bald. I have had 5 sets of tires on this truck now and these are the first non mud tire I have used. Couldn't be anymore impressed.

between all of my vehicles, I have well over 500k miles on several sets of BFG's...... not familiar with the Nitto's.... I swear by the BFG. Good luck with your pick!

Check out the Toyo tires.

I've run both BFG and Nitto. The Nittos were much softer than the BFG's and pretty quiet. BFG's lasted longer.

However the BFG's developed scalloped lugs very early on, which greatly effects my opinion of them.

BFG's you can get just about anywhere. The Nitto's I had to order online. I'm sure they are readily available, but not 2 years ago when I needed them.

Toyo has had some problems with production in the past, but I think they are up to speed now. At least my local guys can get them now.

The Nitto MT are one of the ugliest tires on the road, wear for crap and you cannot even hear yourself think. The 35's are a little smaller than 35" actually a 37" would be more like a 35".

The BFG MT are nice tires, wear well, are quiet (not that you care) they do ok in the mud. The 35's are a little smaller than 35". I have a set in my warehouse with 25K miles on them and they were measured at over 1/2 tread life remaining.

Toyo MT are the best of the 3 for noise, wear, looks and function ability. The Toyo MT are a little larger than a true 35" so make sure you have the extra space, measure as if you were buying 37's.

I have ran all 3 in 35x12.50 18's and 20's in addition to the Nitto Terra Grapplers. I would never own a Nitto Mud Terrain tire, the MT are OK. But for the money you are paying go with the BFG. If you have extra money get the Toyo's. As with any MT make you rotate them every oil change or atleast every other oil change or they will dish on the edges.
