Default 305/70/16 too big?

are the 305/70/16's too big on a stock dodge 4x4, also do the 94-97 ford alcoa style rims fit with no issue on the dodges, is the offet and all correct?

I know they fit on my 02 with the leveling kit but i cant honestly remember wich i did first. The wheels may need a bit of machining but i would think that they would work.

The 305's will be too wide for your stock steel wheels...I dont have any useful info about the ford wheels.

In most tires, 295's are taller than 305's and they wont stick out so far. Also, they wont throw crap and road debris on the side of your truck.

i was told when i bought mine that the 285's and 305's were the same height but the 305's were wider. If I crank the wheel all the way they will rub on the control arms a bit.

i do not know how wide stock 95 rims are but as long as they are 16x8 or wider 305s will be fine but they might rub the ower control arm...i am running 315x75x16s on my stock alumm wheels and they do rub the lower control arm...

The stock steel wheels are 6.5".....I think 285 is the biggest you will want to go on them.

I was running 295 BFG all-terrains with no rub. I added the Leveling kit and the 35's fit great. The 35's would not fit before the leveler or the aftermarket wheels. The largest the tire guys would mount was the 295's on the stock rims.

Hope that helps.
