I'm not saying there bad guns in anyway but I'm saying there's many things to prove there safety systems aren't the best.I know 20 year veterans in police that don't like them simply because there safety system.to each his own, but I wouldn't want my fiancée to pick up my gun and it go off if she accidentally hit the trigger or someone freak like that

Not to continue arguing but. "accidentally go off" Teach her trigger control. If you own anything but a revolver at this point its kinda pointless. For a combat handgun, to me if you have an external safety you are just adding a step(read...margin for error) to the process. If you are willing to train with the external safety to make it second nature...why not double your production and just train trigger safety and trigger pull? Agree to disagree at this point I guess but everyone keeps bashing Im gonna keep defending.

First off, I'm not a glock guy at all, they are ugly, and blocky. But, if you want one they work, nobody can argue that, but if u are trying to decide between a glock and a 1911, only one thing needs to be asked. Think about it, whenever a new pistol come out, what is the first gun they compare it to, a 1911, followed by a glock. As for the trigger "issue" if u dont want it to go off keep your damn finger off the trigger, a simple thing that works for all guns. All that being said, all of my auto pistols are 1911. They may have a few more idiosyncrasies to tham, but nobody can argue with there extinguished history.

Number one reason to buy a glock - It fits you, you like the feel, and you can shoot it accurately.
Number one reason not to buy a glock - It doesn't fit you, you don't like the feel, Nd you can't shoot it accurately.
There are very good guns made by lots of companies. Each one is different, get what ever you feel best with.
I personally like my glock, it fits me well and I shoot it great. I also like the feel of the M&P but I don't shoot it as well in point and shoot situations, the glock points naturally for me.
