I'm sure glocks are great guns and 99.9% of all people that use them will never have a problem.

JMHO, YMMV. Disclaimer: I have no qualifications or experience that makes my opinion on the subject worth a hill of beans.

the trigger safety is a point of concern and is somewhat dangerous. I have a 3.5lb trigger in mine so its a fairly light pull. You have to be cautious on how you carry.

I seen videos where a glock fired when the leather holster folded & pushed the trigger, hitting it owner on the leg

There was local guy here lived about 3 miles up the road from me shot himself in the groin holstering his glock, according to the account I read. I didn't know him, just saw the news story last year. Maybe he was an idiot, who knows.

They're ugly, but likeable. And reliable. Just always keep your wits about you, and the likelihood of a mishap is greatly diminished. Like driving, cutting vegetables, or baling hay.

doesnt sound like he was "holstering". Sounds like a paper gangster doing the front of the pants shoot my D1ck off carry method. My competition glock is down around 2 lbs. Never an issue. but its not my daily carry and nor would i recommend a trigger that light for daily carry. The stock glock trigger is 7lbs and i cannot see how in the world you could set that off holstering it in a PROPER holster. I IWB my carry gun in a well made holster. Maybe ive just been drinking too much Glock coolaid but I fail to see where having all your safeties integrated into the trigger is a bad thing. One thing that seems to strike me as imperative with any gun is trigger control and and trigger safety. If you have your finger on the trigger while holstering... well lets just say you deserve to shoot yourself.

Now wait a min I have a perfectly fine pistol I just want another one. I want something to tinker on its either a glock 17 or a 1911. I like the glocks cause you can mod the **** out of them same as the 1911s tho...

Hmmm what should I do....

it is insanely cheaper to modify a Glock. Most of my trigger work was done by myself with little or no help. If you are looking for something to tinker with i can say without a doubt its going to be wayaayayayaay cheaper to mess with a glock. If you screw something up short of the barrel slide or frame, most of the parts will cost you less than 20 bucks to replace. Thats one of the reasons ive moved to Glock as a competition gun. I own 1911s and I love working on them but that is a passion with quite abit of cash involved just like my AR's. My Glock is the gun that I can experiment with and not worry about wrecking it short of not being able to shoot it till the seriously cheap stock parts arrive at my doorstep.

not a fan of the glocks at all they dont fit in my hand they are large to pack and i have had issues with them jamming that could be ammo but i dont know

i got a sig 226 for a duty gun and carry the sig 239 concealed as backup both .40 cal

some of the other guys carry the 9mm cuz they hold 15 rounds mine only holds 12 in the 226 and 7 in the 239

if i go out and cant conceal the 239 i have a ruger LCR .38 revolver that fits nice in your pocket
