Buy it in bulk online

Bucket Truck, good to know. I figured surplus ammo was surplus ammo.

Martin, that's the same one I have, and I love it.

It all depends on a informed consumer, one who shops around looking for deals...

I've gotten some really good deals on ammo at gunshows, but now purchase most on line. I've got a 03FFL and some places give you a discount for that...

Have played with quite a few Mosin Nagants & almost purchased a few...but figured I'd stay with what I've got instead of adding another weapon system/caliber to the stable...

Still might get one someday...

I had bought a 91/30 in January this year, waited 3 months to shoot it(had to wait for some snow to melt), took it out a couple times, then sold it for what I had in it. I might pick one up again sometime. I'd kinda like to get a M44 though.

I like the more compact m-44 better, cause it would fit under my truck rear seat. But it's hard finding target ammo, surplus ammo is corrosive, but cheap plinking ammo. Just wash the bore with soap & water, then solvent, lastly a light coat of oil.

Yeah, that's true about the ammo. When I bought mine, all I could find locally was "Wolf" ammo, and it was about $1/rd!
