It would be selfish to believe your right to OC trumps the vast majority of the postulation's right to be afraid of your doing it. I know it doesn't seem "right," but that's the problem. And anything we as gun owners do to jeopardize our rights, right or wrong, is going eventually end up badly for us.

Exercising a RIGHT in front of sheeple is NOT selfish in any way. That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read.

If they are afraid of big bad guns, that is their problem, not mine. If they are that uneducated it is not my fault.

Thank you for clearly stating your selfish attitude about open carry and willingness to contribute to the ammunition gun control advocates need for tighter gun restricting legislation across the country.

Not.

So you expect me to change my views just so I dont "give more ammo" to the anti gun advocates?

I dont care what they think. If they win so what? If guns are outlawed, Im still going to be carrying so it doesnt make a difference.

You just won't be "open" carrying?

Open carry is just as much my right as sheeple protesting my it. Also this debate is gonna be different for every state and even possibly for every city within said state. In Alabama it is a practice that is slowly coming back. We have a ALOC group divided into regions that have meetings, booths at gun shows, Buckmasters, fairs, they are really getting the word out about the laws. I have OC vs. CC about 50/50. Granted I live in AL and we have a low popuation of sheeple.

Just becuze it's your "right" to open carry does not mean it's the smartest thing to do at a specific point in time...

Ever hear the phrase discretion is the better part of valor...it applies fully to open carry and no amount of calling other people names like sheeple and yelling from the tallest tree whow it's your right will change that.

Sometimes it's just plain stupid to open carry....and makes all gun owners look stupid...by the actions of a single person...

When does the "rights" of a single person take precedence over the "rights" of many? Why is it you have the "right" to walk down the street looking like a fool and the people donot have the right to feel secure...

Any time somebody feels insecure/threatened they call 911 and then the police must investigate the reason...they must respond...and then you have the tards screaming it's a "right" to walk down the street...making a scene and hurting the gun culture...instead of spending 10 min with johhny law dog & then going along his/her merry way...

When if your hogleg would have been concealed nobody would have ever known about it...

Do you really want to be carrying openly in downtown Philly when this happens...not me...I want to be carrying concealed...so I'm not a primary target & it gives me a few seconds to process the OODA loop and do what needs to be done...

However, it's not "normal" to open carry in Denver and you can plan on being detained by the police at the very best...

It is all about time and place...and walking down the 16th street mall open carrying cuz it's legal is not a wise choice...

Especially with a high cap magazine as hi cap's are illegal in Denver....

"Defense lawyers argued that since no one was hit, no assault took place"

Yeaaaah, that's right. They just wanted to scare them.

Gotta love the lawyers.

I carry concealed every time I go into Philly. Not just for that reason, but also the fact that although open carry is legal in PA, it is not in "cities of the first degree." (Philly and Pittsburgh). That is, of course, unless you have a CCW permit. Go figure.
