Need suggestions on new gun
Actually flathead...having a wallet/pocket holster that you can put a pistol in and shoot from in that wallet/holster without removing the pistol is a federal felony and can get you 8 years in the federal slammer as a sex toy for bubba....
Whats it look like? Got a pic?
OK BOYS HERE IT IS THE ATF EXEMTED THIS FROM THE LAW LOOK UP KELTEC RUGER LCP WALLET HOLSTER IT WILL SHOW A PICTURE THIS HOLSTER IS NOT AGAINST ANYLAW
The Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms (ATF) has decided that the Wallet Holsters which allow the gun to be fired while it is still in the holster, are now considered "Any Other Weapon" (AOW) The description of AOW is a device that is designed to not look like a firearm and yet fires a bullet. So the concept is that because it looks like a wallet and mugger may percieve it as a wallet as you are shooting him, the ATF thinks they should demand a tax on it.
When you put it in the wallet holster it becomes an AOW (Any Other Weapon) forever. From that point on it must be licensed and sold as an AOW... You can own the wallet and LCP separately and they are separate entities, but once you put the LCP into the wallet holster the LCP is now an AOW... Removing it from the wallet holster doesn't matter, once classified as an AOW, the LCP can never be changed back...

On the other hand, even if it is "legal" it's a extremly stupid and dangerous way to carry a pistol in a pocket. Look at the open trigger...you always cover the trigger for safety....that is a negligent discharge just begging to happen...

No need to leave, no ones feathers are ruffled, we are just trying to inform you that the ATF has said that combo is illegal according to how the law is written. Hate to see some ***** agent or cop try.and make an example.
The best advice i can give you would be email the ATF and ask them. They will give you a straight answer. On the flip side remember its not the ATF but a judge, lawyer and jury that decides if the wording of the law applies to a specific holster.
THE DESIGN OF ANY HOLSTER WITH A OPEN TRIGGER IS DANGEROUS THAT'S JUST COMMON SENSE AS THE TRIGGER IS THE PART THAT MAKES THE GUN GO BANG YOU DO NOT SEE QUALITY HOLSTERS FROM ANYBODY WITH A OPEN TRIGGER DESIGN.
WHY GO AWAY, STAY AND PARTAKE, TEACH US DON'T JUST SAY "GOOGLE IT" WHAT IS YOUR THOUGHTS AND IDEAS WE COULD CARE LESS ABOUT WHAT GOOGLE THINKS
STAY AND PLAY WE DON'T BITE...ONLY NIBBLE....
