Good read, Hope me nor anyone else has to go through something like that. it sucks people are so under educated about guns nowadays.
if somebody enters my home un-invited they better be ready to look down the barrel of a 9mm.

and x2 to "If you pull a gun, you better be ready to use it" if you tell someone "Don't more or I'll shoot" you give a warning shot the second they twitch, and if they take a step towards you, open fire...

You don't give warning shots. If you draw your weapon you need to be ready to shoot.

This story, and the many like it, is great insight to the problems AFTER the justified shooting. Even if found innocent its gonna cost you ALOT of money and time.

And you will without question go to jail.....

NEVER EVER shoot to kill....

You shoot TO STOP THE ACTIONS OF THE PERSON THAT FORCED YOU TO SHOOT..thus when the guy turns and runs away...STOP SHOOTING>>>>> only shoot till he/she/it stops doing what forced you to shoot them...

And always SHOOT TO STOP THE THREAT>>>>>>and no more...

NO I won't be in jail if I use deadly force in a attack. I live in Indiana and am aloud under Indiana law to use reasonable and or deadly force without retreat to prevent a attack. And even if jail was the result of it that might be the price I would have to pay to ensure the safety of my wife and kid. A dead man no longer has the potential to cause harm to them.

The other problems with leaving violent criminals alive is the lies start. Just like in the articul right off the bat they start to lie. I was drunk, some one was screaming and I was making sure everyone was ok. Dead men don't lie!

Dude....are you stupid.........or just drunk.....

Nothing was said about not using deadly force....I said don't shoot to KILL, but SHOOT TO STOP....there is a big difference and a grand jury will bury you so deep they will have to pipe sunlight to your sorry ***....if you SHOOT TO KILL

But what they ....shoot to kill and see how you like 20+ years of prison sex...or do you have a lusting for the blacksnake....

What do you think dead force means? Lets break it down.

dead·ly
adjective-aiming to kill or destroy.
force
noun-strength or power exerted upon an object; physical coercion; violence

Now if you put the two together.
Deadly force-Aiming to kill or destroy through strength or power exerted on an object.
It doesn't mean to shoot in the leg, hurt, or make cry. It means to kill

I know on the moon you don't have to worry about a violent home invasion or attack but here on plant Earth we do and luckily some of our politicians are looking out for law abiding citizens. In Indiana you are protected by state law if you kill a intruder or someone wanting to do physical harm to you.
Indiana. Code Section 35-41-3-2 (b) A person: (1) is justified in using reasonable force, including deadly force, against another person; and (2) does not have a duty to retreat; if the person reasonably believes that the force is necessary to prevent or terminate the other person's unlawful entry of or attack on the person's dwelling...

"Dude....are you stupid.........or just drunk....."
I never came out and attacked you. The only thing I am saying is this is what gets innocent people hurt or killed. They end up in a bad situation of no fault of there own. Pull out a gun talk crap or shot the violator to wound them and end up getting hurt or killed by return fire.

Thanks for opening mouth and removing all doubt...........

Deadly force does not mean to shoot somebody till you kill them......not at all...

Deadly force, as defined by the United States Armed Forces, is the force in which a person uses, causing or that a person knows, or should know, would create a substantial risk of causing, death or serious bodily harm. ..

and federal

Force used against a person that is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury, as through the discharging of a firearm or through personal physical action. (413.01)

But what do I know other than we were trained to the DOJ FLETC use of force model...

And that you never ever shot to kill, but to shot to stop the actions that forced you to shoot.

Hope ya like prison sex as no matter how hard you try to justify/rationalizing use of deadly force is the same as shooting to kill somebody....you will end up in jail....
