yep, does not matter how much energy a round has. If it penetrates through the target it did NOT transfer all its energy to the target, basic physics.

This old boy lost more then his face, pretty much a line from the corners of his mouth back at a 45* angle.

You don't see many 44 mags as LEO guns (I've personally never seen a single LEO carry a 44 mag)....but ya see a metric **** ton of 9mm's as cop guns...on one hand that does not say much, but on the other hand it says lots...

You need to balance the weapon/cartridge/bullet for the job....
i know one...

Or.....the flip side...what if it hits and transfers all it's energy before penetrating deep enough to do any real damage...

No matter what, there is not one person on this thread who would let someone shoot them in the ***** from 25 feet with a .22 short, much less any "stopper" caliber.

Bullets are gonna ******* hurt, and your odds are probably better to be struck by lightning than have to kill someone with one shot to defend yourself.

Why does every gun discussion have to get so dramatic? Shoot what you like and if you think it'll protect you & yours and it'll take out a goblin, then all good.

No, but I also wouldn't recommend the Goodyear Blue Streaks either, no matter how awesome people thought they were in 1965.
