Where did I at all say it was just 3rd gens? All Glocks have plastic sights.....produce proof that I made that comment directed only at 3rd generations... Did you even read the post before commenting?

I'm not just typing in random positions, I'm a disabled firefighter, and up until my injury I worked with these guys very closely. Not just some made up jobs but friends that I trust.

At no point am I saying Glocks are bad firearms, but they do need to get metal fixed sights not just screw in plastics.

The only reason that my Fire Marshall buddy carry's a Glock is because it doesn't corrode and constantly being around AFFF in high humidity it will corrode any non SS firearms quick. AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) is extremely corrosive and will ruin anything (literally anything) that has low corrosion resistance

As to picking fun about my 5906, it's a proven design, all SS and no matter what I do when I pull the trigger it sounds off. Big and heavy? It is not at a a heavy handgun for an all metal design with 7.5" long it's only 38 ounces. Weight isnt necessarily a bad thing, i can pull the trigger as fast as i can and always stay on target. It has literally no kick. Also the 5906 was produced in 1990 not in 1989 if you know so much about my pistol.

Do not make this into a hostile thread, it isn't good for anyone.

Hostile thread....WTF...your feelings get hurt or something...not hostile at all, just saying your full of brown stinky stuff....

But you are right on one part, I was wrong, you just said and I quote here... Prepare down the road to replace the front sight. It's been known to pop off when brandishing in defense. Wouldn't be a good situation to lose your sights in a defense moment.

As far as brandishing a firearms in defense.....ummm do a little research, ya do not brandish a weapon in self defense, that is reckless and dumb...and if you do, your a looser that needs to have your *** kicked....as you draw your weapon...point it at a target and then shoot that target that forced you to draw your weapon in self defense and were afraid for your life...

So your a disabled fire fighter & worked with guys that told you stories...that's great, now prove what you posted...you have not posted any factual current information about Glock sights falling off.

If ya want stories, I can tell you about friends who were .mil contractors in a war zone....using G19's and never having problems with sights, can tell stories of big city LEO's who use Glocks and love em..and never have issues with sights...can tell stories about how I personally have shot a few thousand rounds and never lost a sight (knock on wood) and more than likely can google and find stories of sights falling off and Glocks blowing up....

I'm not a glock fan by any stretch of the imagination...but come on, when ya post stuff about guns that ya claim are facts...ya have got to be able to back em up....

Ya want the best after market sights for a Glock...well this is it here, none better...and the rear aperture is wider than Glock...

I'm gonna be the bigger man and walk away.

You are just showing your ***. As to the brandishing I was talking about withdrawing your firearm in attempt to calm a situation that is about to become deadly. You don't just whip it out and start firing cowboy.

I'm not just some kid behind a keyboard pal. I've been around the block. As to kicking my ***, what's the charge for assaulting a disabled firefighter?

You made it hostile and I'll see this thread to the graveyard since you can't show respect to my post.

ALSO it's "Loser not Looser".

I'm now finished with your disrespectful antics and no longer commenting before it becomes a hostile situation.

The carbon-tetrachloride fire extinguisher was state of the art & a proven design...why upgrade that to a modern 5pound ABC for home use???

Actually if ya do a little research they were 1st produced in 1989 to 1999. I don't know of a single LE department that issues it or carries them any more...I'm sure ya have isolated LEO's that do...but it's far from a mainstream pistol.

Nothings "wrong" with it as my Glocks are about the same time frame...lighter & just as accurate if not more...and my S&W M&P 9mm's are more accurate, lighter, easier and better/faster to index on target and get of multiple shots...I've got a 5904 & know a little about em...and while every once in a while will shoot the 5904 she's now a safe queen and not a front line pistol...

But hey, it's your pistol, you carry it and love it...so that's great for you...as is it's great other people like different pistols...it's called diversity

Dude AFFF is a chemical foam from a FIRE TRUCK. Not just some extinguisher pal. We spray the foam because it has a better heat dissipation than water alone due to being foam it sticks to walls, ceilings, etc.

Don't tell me of what extinguisher I need to have at home. Your gonna tell a certified and licensed professional what he needs in his field of training? That was just unintelligent.

5lb? Are you stupid that's barely a few seconds of spray. Try three 25lb class A bottles and a spare 10lb of purple K.

You are so full of brown gooey substance....and playing the "disabled fire fighter" card...along with the charge for assaulting a disabled fire fighter(a charge that does not exist except in that you made it up) ....you sure like to play to others emotions...here, want to play cards...how about I throw out my disabled military card...disabilities received in a combat zone that a few week ago put me in a VA hospital for a couple days....and am now undergoing further rehab....

Only reason it's hostile is your feelings are hurt....can't back up your statements and are running away...respect to your post....give me a break...want a hurt feeling report now...

As for brandishing you NEVER brandish a firearm... to wave or flourish (a weapon) in a triumphant, threatening, or ostentatious way n a threatening or defiant flourish as that will get you in trouble with LEO's...you never draw your weapon to try to scare somebody, intimidate somebody, in an attempt to calm the situation down. You ONLY draw your weapon when deadly force is warranted....otherwise more than likely you will go to jail.

Who mentioned Aqueous film forming foams....I was talking about a home carbon-tetrachloride fire extinguisher but as a "professional" fire fighter of course you knew that...and know that you can't compare AFFF to carbon-tetrachloride or Purple K.

Figured comparing a old fashioned carbon-tetrachloride fire extinguisher to your old fashioned 5906 like that would go over your head.....
