As promised, here are the better pics of the wood. Took it off last night to get the bottom polyurethaned, then will flip it back over to begin work on the top. The top will receive a couple coats of epoxy and some polyurethane for UV protection. The epoxy will add durability so the wood doesn't get ruined.

Here is the fuel filler door I bought. Silly me didn't think about it not coming with a hinge, so we will have to make something work.

Well, the bottom of the wood is getting polyurethaned in order to seal out the elements. Once that is done, the bed will get turned over and get epoxied on top for durability. Working on getting the fuel filler neck made and have to get a hinge for the fuel filler door to integrate into things.

She's coming along slowly, I have been occupied with side projects in an attempt to make some money to finish the truck off, hopefully a few more will go through and I can get to work on my Spring Break.

It's surreal, I started the project on Spring Break of 2010... 3 years strong and I am almost done!

Ordered much of the final few things that I needed, since my tax return will be coming soon.

Ordered the 77 El Dorado rear calipers and K20 front rotors for the disc brake conversion on the D70 out back.

Also I think I found a source for the last few interior parts I need to get the inside buttoned up, will find out Saturday if he has everything I need. If anyone has a source for good interior trim, please let me know!

Going to run to the junk yard soon and get the fuel filler door and hinge we need to make the cap I got work. Gonna prolly have to redesign the fuel filler tubing as well.

Spring break starts on the 9th of March, so I should have everything I need to get her all buttoned up by then, and HOPEFULLY will get her on the road.

Really need to start planning out the new radiator and modification of the core support so I can start building the new core support which will accommodate the A/C and IC on with an original non-ic grille.

I am getting extremely excited to have this sucker on the road!

What are you going to do for an emergency brake using front rotors on the rear axle? Ive heard of guys using hydraulic locks similar to line locks. ill see if i can find the thread that i saw that in.

I am using el dorado rear calipers that have an e brake provision, so they'll work just like an oem caliper, at least that's my hope.
