Really, I didn't think it was my game either, but the more I look at it, its kind of a game... kinda like hide and seek. I gotta find the rust, and get rid of it. After that, its all fun to me. I LOVE fabricating stuff. I already fabbed up my new cab mount, I just need to put some finishing touches on it. But, to get to the finishing touches, I need to get more of the floor pan out.

The hard part for me is trying to figure out where to draw the line. I have a lead to a pristine (for its age) cab for $700, but thats about $250 more than I wanna spend on a cab. I have about $150 into parts for this cab, and an entire week of work into it. With some more time and patience, I will get it back together, and it will be just fine. I just have a hard time trying to find the defining line of where my time is worth more than $700. But, I have a TON of free time, and not a ton of money, so I am going to continue on this cab.

I have alot of work ahead of me, and unfortunately, tonight marks the end of my spring break. I have only 2 free days during the week no because of school, so this is gonna take a while. I honestly do believe I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I think I am at the pinnacle of the work, about half way done. Now is the hard part though... I have always struggled with being precise. I hate measurements, I usually eye stuff up and call it good. Well... I can't do that right now, or my cab might end up sitting crooked.

I do have pics, but I left the cam in the garage again. I will post some more up when I get my cab mount all finished up. I am quite proud of it, to be honest. I thought about putting on on the other side too, sinc
e this one is 2 times as beefy, .

Well, I got the final parts of the body that I will need. Been busy with work all weekend, and school all day today, but I have a long day planned tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the passenger side cab corner almost put on, and maybe start spot welding it all together.

I also picked up a new turbo for the truck Its an HE351VGT. It prolly will end up being a mid to end summer project, but I will work on it here and there from time to time when I am bored.

Thanks guys! Got some pictures from the other day.

Here is my patch for the passenger side by the seatbelt bolt hole:

Then, I got convinced by my father to start on the drivers side... much to my disapproval (but, it takes up his beloved Jeep's spot in the garage, ). So, here it is mid "cutting":

Thats what I keep reminding myself. This is my very first time doing any sort of body work, so its all a learning experience. I am so thankful that my father is mildly skilled in a whole lot of different things. Between the 2 of us, we have completely 'engineered' a new cab support for the driver's front. I mean, there is NO material in between the trans tunnel and the outside of the rocker that will be old, I am completely fabricating new everything, with the exception of the rocker and the main part of the floorpan, which is taking some massaging to fit in, since it is too wide.
