Thanks man! It should be coming along quickly the more the weather warms up. I can't wait to see it done. This will easily take the ROTM award on every forum I am on when I get her done I am excited to be able to tout those accomplishments.

Spring break is coming up in a few weeks, things I am certain to accomplish are: Getting the cab and doors and hood (again) primed, sanded and chip guarded. Also going to try to get as much of the interior in as possible, carpet laid, wiring done, and hopefully get the sound system in. Going to the junkyard one day to get some seats for the truck, then I will need to get the brackets done. I plan on buying a TIG welder as soon as I get my tax return back, then I will be able to get all the welding done I need (sure I could MIG it, but TIG looks SO much better).
Its coming along... the only bodywork needing done before I prime it is a little bit of sanding on the driver's side cab corner, and a little bit on the roof line on the cab, then its good to go. The interior will be the next step, while I wait for the bed sides to get here. HOPEFULLY, I can get the interior buttoned up before the bed sides get here, so I can drive the truck around a little bit... kinda break it back in, see if I have any issues.
So, I am very excited, and I think things will move along quickly over spring break! Should be on the road by summer break, if things go as planned (as they never do).
And how could I forget the M&H M4 fuel pin!? Never realized this $100 chunk of metal was that flippin small!

On the truck front... I ordered the steering wheel install kit last night, and 100 sq ft of sound deadening today, in preparation of doing the interior work. I should have the body work on the cab done tomorrow, so I will prime that on the first nice day I have and then we will be rockin and rollin!

Well, I decided to spend the time and pick out the audio build components. I should be selling a car Sunday, so I will go ahead and order this crap Monday.
Front Speakers. Rear Speakers. Subwoofer. Amplifier. Of course, I am not paying Cruthfield's insane prices for everything, I am getting everything for much less off Ebay, haha.
Now, you may be thinking... "Matt, where is the head unit?" To which I would simply respond, "Silence is a virtue, shut the fvck up!" I have a trick up my sleeve that I think may leave some people astounded. Be prepared for more tricks I ain't showin' ya yet, either.
Still need to find a headliner, or someone that can make one though
Oh, getting so excited!

Well had a decently productive day today... Got the passenger side of the cab papered and taped, ready for primer. Planning on spraying it soon.

Ok... well, another wasted day, another wasted dollar. Sometimes I hate being the go to guy for auto repairs. Had to help my buddy with a mysterious noise on his Durango, which turned out to be a completely destroyed wheel bearing and a rusted out dust shield.
Anyway, since the Durango was in the garage, I measured up his leather seats, and, let's just say the hunt is on for a black set of leather Durango/Dakota seats! They are so comfy, and they will fit alot better than second gen seats will. Plus, I will be making a custom center console, and its going to fit perfectly. I can't wait to find the right seats. There is a set on ebay for $300, which I would gladly pay, but the freight from florida is $150, which would just make it too expensive. So, I am going to keep my eyes out for something local. Doesn't have to be leather or black, but I would prefer that!
Next, I am in a dilemma. I ordered a 3200 rpm spring for Christmas, but I somehow misplaced it, and need to order a new one. I was thinking about just bumping up to a 4k spring, and setting my shift light for 3200. I know I should probably do rod bolts for the 4k spring, but what else? I have valve springs already, head studs, fire rings, you name it, i pretty much already have it. I don't see the need for it on the turbo i have now (HE351VE), but I think if I ever go twins, or ever just REALLY wanna put the power dow, the extra room would be nice to have. Thoughts, comments, opinions?
Ordered the amp up yesterday, and will begin the mount for that sometime pretty soon. Not sure how I wanna make it, but I will, haha. The amp has a power outlet for a small fan, so I plan on running a small CPU (computer) fan to keep it cool.
Tomorrow I will finish up the bondo work (I hope, I can't handle another wasted day this weekend!), and then I will be waiting for the next nice day to go out and spray some primer. I am getting so much more excited as the days go on.
Received my auto up and down window module (yay!), so I may start planning that and my auxillary fuse block wiring as I wait for a nice day. Also have some wiring under the dash and in the engine bay to clean up. Its getting down to crunch time, and I can't wait!!!!
This sucker is everything I want, and I am proud to say I have done it all by myself, learning along the way. Thanks to my dad for talking me through stuff, but letting me do it myself so I could learn how its done, and eventually pass it along to my little 2 legged critters!
'Til next time...
