Wow... been a long while since an update. Finally getting some stuff done, and its about ready for primer.

The last few days I have been working on the intercooler pipes. Here are the pictures:

I started with the intake horn... made my plate out of 6061 aluminum, and the mocked up the tubing:

Got it put on the truck for a test fit. Worked pretty well, but I needed to shorten it a bit:

Then started working on the passenger side. Got it all mocked up:

Back to the driver's side again:

Still need to work on the bottom of the driver's side, just need to cut up a 45* angle, and I will be good to go! Everything should be going out to get welded on Monday, when i go to the shop (no TIG at home).

Other than the pipes, I have been getting the body work done. Filled the drip rails, filled the roof seam, and getting everything straightened out. Got one door primed, and the hood and fenders. Just need to prime the cab now, and finish straightening the driver's door!

She's coming along. Expect some good updates from now til Xmas. The goal is to have it on the road by Xmas

Thanks Jake! I actually ordered a 4"x4" piece of 3/8" 6061 aluminum from onlinemetals.com, and punched out a 3" hole in the center and then drilled the bolt holes. Then, the piping is actualy CX racing 3" aluminum piping. I got the kit off ebay for like $90 shipped, comes with a bunch of different pipes, silicone couplers, and like 18 T-Bolt clamps! From that, I just cut the pieces I needed. I am thinking about maybe making a few IC pipe kits to sell, IDK.

I think I will end up having about $250 in my intercooler AND piping altogether.

Thanks man! Sadly, I am running out of money, haha. Trying to put a cage in the track car this winter, along with finishing the truck... OUCH!

Well, got the driver's side intercooler pipe mocked up, and test fitted, here are the pics:

Drivers side on the intercooler:

Under the battery:

The the three altogether:

They are going to get welded tomorrow and I hope to polish them before I bring them back. Also going to clean up the holes that I had to make for the pipes, so they look alot better.

Thanks for looking!

It's looking amazing! How much further do you lack to having it on the road?

Well, I just need to get those IC pipes welded up, and then finish a little bit of body work then prime and paint. Then I need to finish my VGT actuator, but I might throw the old turbo back on so I can drive her. So, I SHOULD have it on the road very soon. Hopefully in paint the first or second week of December, and then on the road before Xmas. Thats the plan!
