Paint Cleanup
As you use the clay bar and it starts picking up the debris, you will continue to knead the bar and keep the clay on the car, fresh. The scratches if they occur, will be removed when you polish and wax the area.
Good Luck.

I bought a Ice Clay Bar kit and rubbed and rubbed and rubbed ... I must have rubbed a 2x2 area on my door for 20 minutes.
Whatever this stuff is that is on my paint is there and doesn't want to come off.
What is the next more drastic step to remove something from your paint? Any ideas?

if the truck has good base coat clear coat paint, NOT single stage Enamel, then brake parts cleaner won't harm it. remember to have 2 rags. one to spray the parts cleaner on to rub the affected area and one to go back over and buff off the residue left from the cleaner. after that use a good paint cleaner and then the wax of your choice as the brake parts cleaner will take any wax that was previously on the clean off.
i have used brake parts cleaner on my orange and black truck and haven't had a problem yet with it. also it is good to get those black scuff marks off where doors and bumpers may have rubbed a body panel.

i have the exact same problem looks like someone drove thru paint infront of the truck and their tires kicked up the road paint and all over my truck and i have no idea what to try besides wet sanding it
Try using kerosine or diesel fuel treatment.. Ive used it on tar plenty of times. It works great.. not sure if tar is what you have, but it may work. It will take off any wax though.. so you'll need to re-wax.

you have a paint supply house near you or an autobdy shop ask them for some PAINT REDUCER. Tell them like RM UR50 rm is the type of paint but everybody has there own line just depends what paint company they use all the same stuff. Paint reducer wont hurt your paint but it will take of the paint that slapped on your truck. I swear it will work I paint cars for a liveing its not a big deal at all. if you dont want to go to an autobody place i would be more then happy to throw a small little bottle in the mail for you so you can get it of. let me know
