Paint Cleanup

I drove through something somewhere (Springtown, I think) that sprayed some crap all over my truck... I just finished washing it and there is still a layer of speckled paint, glue or acrylic or something all over the sides of the paint.

It won't wash off and I tried goof-off on a small area and it didn't remove whatever this is.

Any suggestions on how to try to get this unknown stuff off of my paint? It is all over both sides, it is worst behind the right rear wheel.

I don't know what it is...

This isn't a small area, it is everywhere that spray from the front or rear tires can spray "water" (or whatever this is) onto the side of your truck.

I'll try WD-40 and some goo-gone... but, I don't think I'll wash my truck in gasoline.

Could it be buffed or polished out with one of those grinder style polishers?

Get a clay bar and do it that way!

Clay bars are meant for paint and they *SHOULD* remove everything right down to the factory paint, which means it also removes all waxes and polishes, so BE SURE to put a coat of wax on where ever the clay bar was used!

I watched this video and I am not sure that as the clay bar picks up the speckles of whatever is on my truck that it will scratch the paint.
