I messed up and forgot to roll the windows down so I can run a strap thru them when plucking the cab. dangit!!

cab and frame parted ways this morning with the help of a payloader

FINALLY its above freezing so Ill be able to work on it more

dually all the way around, It started life as a SRW W250 but will continue life a complete W350 DRW with 19.5's

Im getting the itch to finish it with this warm weather... Kinda crappy everything is MUD now

Thats a sweet looking project you got goin on there. I thinkthe first Gens look good in the green like your 01 is but some people you can have two trucks the same color.

I always see the threads about 1st gens and It makes me want one all over again. I remeber when I was a kid and I saw the first brand new one in town, a bright red W350 single wheel. I just fell in love with'em... Something you never forget Keep up the good work and keep us up to date

Thanks guys!!! I really want to move forward with the project but not having a heated shop to work on it kinda hinders the progress.... also it was 10* this am and to top it off a little over a week ago my wife was told she might lose her job (3 year HS English teacher) Soooo that put a hold on the toy fund so we can save IF she does get axed, then well have some cash to pay bills for awhile till she finds another.

Not sure what happened but it looks like the TC is having a issue. the red seems to be fluid. I wont know for sure till I have the rest of the trans torn into.

I've always wanted a gunmetal gray rig and this is the perfect opportunity. Im not sure there are many out there either (1st gens that color). I keep picturing in my head the truck being gunmetal with metallic flake, pitch black windows and sitting on a set of polished 19.5's
