Default My 1990 DODGE Project Restoration PICS!

After searching for a first gen I finally brought one home. I've owned it for a little while now but my back issue and the previous owner being out of town took me a while to pick it up.

1990 W250 LE 5.9 CTD 160K Im the 3rd owner, Truck was bought at our local dealership and still has the window sticker. It has Pyro, Fuel pressure, Boost and trans temp gauges in it. New injection pump within the last year from Daves Diesel in Angola, IN with it turned up a little (not sure exactly) larger injector tips (not sure) and a larger turbo (not sure exactly). It was a farm truck but still taken care of and kept inside. It is in need of a transmission (auto) thats the reason the guy decided to sell. Not bad I think for $1400 Im still pretty excited about it!

Im going to restore it to its off the showroom floor condition with a few mods along the way. Nothing major just to make it a fun classic to have and cruise around in. It will end up a complete W350, no color picked out yet but Im thinking either Metallic electric blue or the Metallic graphite gray.

I know its ugly at the moment....

Very Cool. In your travels, have you come accross an extra RH dually fender? I have a friend w/a 93 2wd that took out a deer w/his.

So this make Cummins #3 Ian?

You must hate yourself! It GREAT though isnt it!!!

Good looking truck and hell of a deal! Figure out what Turbo and injectors you have. get to cranking on that pump and you will be AMAZED at how fun that old truck will be. I find myself driving the 89 around more then my 06... I just like it that much!

Ill keep an eye out, The guys that are selling them with the bed or without want a arm and leg for them. There is a guy on CompD that has a new pair for $250 + shipping if youre interested

Yep I know own all the generations, Not sure if this is good or bad but I guess some people collect stamps... I collect Cummins hahah I've been stuck with no free time from work and the weekends are full with the holidays comming up but hopefully soon Ill get the trans out and repaired. My first vehicle was a 89 W250 Std cab 4x 318 that Dad bought new in 89 for a work truck. I never should have sold it! Sitting in the 90 brings back some good memories and some drive to get it finished rather quickly.

I rolled it out today and did some cleaning, Im sure its not been cleaned in over 5 years! trash and dust/dirt galore! I was surprized the original seat wasnt ripped in any way! although there is a pain ink stain that Im not sure will come out or not.
