You mean he didn't know inhaling vaporized chemicals could kill him?
DAMN. Ok, that's a bit harsh, but a little common sense comes in handy at times. :ph:

Great post ,I use that stuff to clean almost everything. I wasn't aware of the side effects being SO serious. :nope: I guess I'm one of the stupid ones, ya know "real men don't read directions". I guess I better start, 'cause Dead doesn't sound fun at all.:scare2: Thanks for the info.:tu:

Dang,i use brake clean on a daily basis at work. Thanks for the post.I'll think of using something different.

billyrb 01-27-2010 01:22 PM

also, don't use carb cleaner anywhere near open flame.......white cloud, green flame, instant lung problems / asthma-like attack

Isn't science fun!?! :w2:

Good read, by the way. You can never be too careful when it comes to chemical reactions...and I'm sure we ALL take it for granted far too often :ouch:

oh yea. in some of my chemistry labs we have done some reactions that make this awesome lookin smoke and then our teacher says dont breathe that in or you will die. or if you smell somethin sweet find something soft to land on cuz you are going to pass out very soon. I dont remember what the sweet smell was though. I hate chemical smoke it messes people up without knowing it

and Uncle Bubba thanks for going out there to serve and protect

And, on a side note, don't spray brakecleaner down an intake on a running or about to be started engine, either. I cleared a warehouse when I grabbed a can of brakclean instead of carb cleaner while working on a forklift.
