Default CP3 on a 24V?

Ok guys, I know some of you may be laughing at me but you never know til you ask, right? OK, so the VP44 SUCKS, and the 1st and 3rd guys beat us to death cuz we can get the same kind of fuel delivery and you lose the ability to use electronice tuning if you p-pump one. SO......... is there ANY possible way someone could do a dual CP3 setup on a 24V second gen, or what is it about the two motors that hinders that from happening? Someobody learn me somethin here, LOL.

after you mount the rail and get different injectors, which would be hard in its self...the other problem i can see that would basically eliminate the possibility is the computer to make it all work the signals would be all jacked up and couldnt run the Cp3 pump with vp44 software

Yep....the CP3 builds too high of pressures! Would need a ECM/PCM for the change and the 24v injectors couldn't handle it! The CR injectors use timing given from the stick itself and us VP guys get our timing through the pump......someone who can come up with a way to do it.....will be much loved!

I think we are stuck were we are at or going the P-pump route....until then...

sorry to dig this old thred back up but this same thing had crossed my mind at one time except i was going to go the other way cp3 to vp44 and i do belive that it can be done, just takes several parts.....

injectors (03-04 so you dont have to change pistons)
tubes
CP3(or twins)
injector harness (CR valve cover gasket)
intake manifold cover from a CR (so you have the mounts for the rail)
CR timing cover
CR gears (cant just change the pump gear cause the CRs are helical instead of straight)
might get lucky and be able to machine the vp pump gear for the cp3 shaft
Painless stand-a-lone wiring harness

a person should be able to find all of these parts in salvage yards or ebay

does this sound right to everybody?

Sounds like it would just be easier to swap engines
