PTO Gaskets...Reusable?
#11
Chelsea makes a controlled compression interface gasket for PTO apps that is reusable. IIRC it is offered in all the standard PTO bolt patterns.
A truck shop that sells Chelsea PTO parts could probably match something up, providing the NV5600 uses a standard non-proprietary pattern, which IIRC it does....

In short to answer your question, there is almost 0.5 quarts of fluid in the case that WILL NOT DRAIN through the bolt...I was changing fluids, and did not want to mix brands.
Not that I needed a bolt to drain it, I have Fast Coolers and they have a drain. The fast coolers themselves add two additional gaskets.

Thanks for that, I will check it out.
I also found a company making rubber-over-steel gaskets similar to those used in the 47/48RE and the AAM diff covers...but I never pursued it. I changed over to Redline at that point and have never looked back...I simply drain what will drain through the Fast Coolers.

Another option is get a square sheet of rubber gasket matirieal and cut your own. Its not hard at all, just get the cover off and lay it down on the rubber sheet and start cutin with a utility knife then punch the bolt holes out with a gasket cutter. Thats it. You can get the rubber gasket sheets from advance auto part or napa...
