Cummins for a 16 year old?
First of all I would like to say, I really like this website!
I am currently 15 and will be turning 16 soon. I just recently took a totaled 99' tacoma and rebuilt it for my 1st vehicle. 4 banger, 5spd 2wd great on gas. Cheap on insurance, great 1st truck for me. But I have diesel running through my vains, my father owns a trucking company and I've been around diesel's my whole life. I would really like a 12v cummins to drive. I would probably only drive the cummins 75-125 miles a week on average. Considering I'll be paying my own fuel bill, buying the truck, and paying for my insurance is it really realistic for me to own a Cummins. My weekly income is about $150-$200 a week.
I'm just wondering if I should buy one and drive it every now and again and use the Tacoma for a DD or If I should forget about this idea?
Thanks!
