Cummins for a 16 year old?
First of all I would like to say, I really like this website!
I am currently 15 and will be turning 16 soon. I just recently took a totaled 99' tacoma and rebuilt it for my 1st vehicle. 4 banger, 5spd 2wd great on gas. Cheap on insurance, great 1st truck for me. But I have diesel running through my vains, my father owns a trucking company and I've been around diesel's my whole life. I would really like a 12v cummins to drive. I would probably only drive the cummins 75-125 miles a week on average. Considering I'll be paying my own fuel bill, buying the truck, and paying for my insurance is it really realistic for me to own a Cummins. My weekly income is about $150-$200 a week. I'm just wondering if I should buy one and drive it every now and again and use the Tacoma for a DD or If I should forget about this idea? Thanks! |
What kind of mileage does the tacoma get i wouldnt see the cummins being too bad on mileage you could sell it and get the cummins. Also man thats awesome that you are 16 and buying your own vehicle and working on it that doesnt seem to be happening much anymore.
