Default My 1st Diesel

I've wanted a diesel truck since I was about 4 years and its definitely time. I've put it off long enough. I was always brought up a Ford guy but the Cummins also has my eye. I'm currently looking for a 1999-2002 Ford or Dodge, with manual and 4wd a must. Any suggestions? And one quick question... does it make much difference on MPG's between a dually and a regular 4 wheel truck? Thanks for any and all help!

Either a ford or a dodge would be a good one in those years.

What do you need the dually for? Unless you just really need it, its less mileage and two more tires to buy.

there both great trucks. dualies are for the serious hauler. consider this option carefully.

see if you can take each for a test drive and compare the two

i think i'm decided against the dually idea. i want a diesel truckto pull a big toy hauler with ease. can a f250/dodge 2500 diesel can pull a large rv easily? thats my primary goal. im afraid having a dually for everyday driving would be a bit over the top but wold be kick *** for hauling
