Default 47re to nv4500 swap

I am looking to swap my 47re to a nv45oo. the doner truck is a 98 12v and the other truck is a 2001 24v. Does any know if there is any thing i need to do with the computer in the 24v to make this work?

i went from a 5 speed to an auto and had to swap the tcm and ecm. but i'm pretty sure you can go from auto to manual without much trouble but not too sure?

True, but I would think all it does is stop you from going into overdrive or lockup which doesn't matter anymore but im not sure, I would say try it and see, will have to bypass the neutral safety switch. If it doesn't work keep your eyes peeled for a pcm ecm and trans harness from a manual truck they are all cake to change the harness is two simple plugs on the firewall above the valve cover is all

Now that I think about it the pcm does have to be changed, iirc it will work with an auto ecm manual ecm combo but not the other way. Plus some people have problems with the dash not reading corectly and need a manual specific cluster, mine didn't read with the auto stuff in it. If you need one I have a manual cluster that I fixed and is working just needs the plastic cover over it from yours, from a 2000 manual truck
