maybe buying 05 cummins?
I was wondering if this was a good deal or not? its a 2005 dodge cummins, 4 door, short bed, 6 speed, 4x4, it has 20 inch high dollar wheels and tires. ranch hand bumper, With only 83,000 miles, truck is slick. But it has a rebuilt title and the guy said it was hit very lighty in the front end and he is wanting 13,500 dollars for it. He told me that you cant even tell it was wrecked on how it drives, steers and looks.. Any inpute would be appreciated.Exact same truck with clear title is worth 20,0000 but its a rebuilt title.

remember a rebuilt title means salvage and that means the damage caused to it was more than the truck was worth or there was frame damage i would be careful buying salvage title lookunder that truck and inspect every inch of that frame and make sure it hasnt been cut and welded back toghther seen it happen on a 3500 chevy just becarefull and make sure its good i would hate to see some one get screwed over just watch that frame and look for anything out of the ordinary

but if everything is in perfect shape for a salvage title frame in perfect condition, Is this a very good price?

But if the frame is in good condition and everything is good is the price fair.

Have a friend follow you down the road as you 'test drive' this new toy. If it looks to be 'crabbing' sideways, run (don't walk) the other way.
There are too many other good finds out there to rush into a puchase. My own truck is an '03, with 46k on the clock, with the H.O. option, a 48RE, camper shell, bed liner, 'moose catcher' grill and 5k pound airbag lift. It cost me just under $17k with TTL out the door. I'll add it was 'show room' clean.
Good luck.

my last truck was an r-title truck and the insurance company and my bank i got the loan through had no problems with full coverage or loanin the money. in there eyes as long as its fixed to original condition thats all that matters to them. remember they total vehicles now for little stuff. mine i know was a roll-over when it was at 23K miles. get a car-fax type report and see what it says. I had good luck with my r-title truck so i would def. buy another but some are gun shy of it.
